Check this out! Recreational Sports and Wellness is offering field experience hours during Spring 2013 at the Student Activity Center! Real world experience awaits you in the dynamic Student Activity Center. Positions offered are as follows:

-Facilities: Manage and schedule personnel and oversee facilities for the Student Activity Center, North Oak Park and Pride Cafe. Contact: Anacletus Gynia at Anacletus.Gynia@selu.edu

-Health and Fitness: Assist with health presentations and in-house certifications, fitness assessments, training and scheduling of instructors and staff, and work on special programs including LateNight De-Stress, Employee Wellness and Soaked. Contact: Megan Mast at Megan.Mast@selu.edu

-Intramurals: Assist with officials’ training, scheduling of officials, scheduling of teams in specific leagues and sports. Work on special programs like LateNight Southeastern and Outdoor Rec. Contact: Chad Pendarvis at Chad.Pendarvis at Chad.Pendarvis@selu.edu

-Guest Services: Assist with all promotions and wellness presentations. Support marketing strategies developed to brand and create awareness for all Recreational Sports and Wellness programming. Schedule staff and support training efforts. Work on special events such as the Womanless Beauty Pageant, LateNight Southeastern, Reconnect and assist the RIPPED Committee student leadership team. Graphic design, multimedia and copy writing skills are a plus but not necessary. Contact: Amy Oberschmidt at AmyO@selu.edu

-REC Kids: An afterschool program for kids ages 3-7. The program consists of tutoring, physical activity and nutrition lessons Monday-Friday from 3pm-6pm. REC Kids offers practical teaching and group management experience. Contact: Amy Oberschmidt at AmyO@selu.edu

-REC Stars: An afterschool program for youth ages 8-13. The program consists of tutoring, physical activity and nutrition lessons Monday-Friday from 3pm-6pm. REC Stars offers practical teaching and group management experience. Contact: Megan Mast at Megan.Mast@selu.edu

Interested in an internship? Visit the Control Desk in the Student Activity Center as soon as possible and complete an internship packet. All interviews must be conducted during fall 2012 for Spring 2013.
